Working with Wolverine Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. (Mason, MI), O’Harrow Construction Company (Jackson, MI), and Abel Construction Company, Inc. (York, PA), SDC assisted the Project Team with design of site improvements and navigating the State and Local approval processes for this expansion to Alro Steel Corporation's York, PA facility. Founded in 1948 in Jackson, Michigan and now having locations in 12 States, Alro Steel specializes in metals, industrial supplies and pla...stics. The Project, currently under construction, included subdivision and land development planning for building expansions consisting of 134,000 s.f. of new warehouse area and 5,700 s.f. of new office space for Alro’s growing operations. Additional site improvements include more parking, a relocation of Keeney Lane at Lincoln Highway and Stormwater Management BMPs. See more

SDC recently consulted with Guardian CSC, a full service provider of water management solutions, on land development planning, design and approvals for a 20,000 S.F. expansion to their facility located at 6000 Susquehanna Plaza Drive in Hellam Township, York County. It’s great to be working with the construction team that includes Royal Square District, CORE Design Group and W.Craig Adams, Inc. . We’re looking forward to seeing the finished project and excited about the success of this local industry leader!

SDC is honored to have had the opportunity to assist Beck Funeral Home, Inc. with their recent expansion to East York. Our work on the Project included feasibility consultation, a site survey and consolidation subdivision, infiltration testing, land development planning and site approvals, as well as construction phase services for a new 8,500 S.F.+ building with porte cochere, nearly 100 parking spaces, PennDOT improvements, underground stormwater management facilities and associated amenities. Despite minor challenges due to a high water table and marginal soils, H&H General Excavating Co & Macallister Group Architects did an excellent job making Beck’s vision and SDC’s design a reality for the Beck Family. Keystruct Construction and York Excavating Co are hustling and have made great strides on the project in preparation for the building’s steel erection. SDC provided land development consulting associated with the site approvals for the 221,600 s.f. flex industrial building in Springettsbury Township.
