Please keep in your prayers: Prayers have been requested for Aaron Arbogast (our former secretary Amanda's son) and the PA National Guard 628 Aviation Brigade who have been deployed overseas. Please pray for them and for all the men and women of our military who are far from home and/or in dangerous situations. Also, please remember in prayers those affected by wildfires and floods here in the US. Information on how to contribute to Lutheran Disaster Response, who is on the ground in multiple locations, will follow soon. Please keep in your prayers:... * Everyone who has lost homes and/or loved ones in the fires in western states So here’s some good news: I got a letter from Bishop Dunlop today, and he is suggesting that, in light of Governor Wolf easing some restrictions, we offer a return to in-person worship on Sunday, September 27! So that is what we will do. We will worship at 9:15am Sundays beginning on September 27. I will, of course, continue to send out the recorded worship for anyone who does not feel comfortable with in-person worship. As before, wearing masks will be required at in-person worship, and the service will be 100% spoken. Now. Let’s talk about masks. Way back in March, when things were just shutting down for the Covid crisis, I got a weekly newsletter from the Lower Susquehanna Synod. In that email was information on how we could procure face masks for free from the US Department of Health and Human Services. So... I filled out the online form... and forgot about it! Until a whole case of masks arrived a few weeks ago! The masks are reusable and washable, and are made of soft, white cotton. But they aren’t doing much good sitting in a box! So... if you need some face masks, we are offering a pack of 5 masks to each family who wants one. I am in the church office on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Bev Strausbaugh is there on Tuesdays. If you would like a pack of masks, you can let us know and we will make sure we are there for you to pick them up, or you can stop by the church after 9:30-ish.
