Well done, Kevin Pitts. He had a poem published in October! Our alumni never cease to amaze.
Fabulous lineup for spring 2021!
Wondering what our alums are up to? Check out this piece for WHYY written by bike advocate and Writing Studies alum Randy Lobasso! https://whyy.org//the-unintended-harm-of-giving-civic-gro/
Please make plans to attend the 2020 Helen Flexner Lectures in the Humanities at Bryn Mawr College, given by Fred Moten, Professor of Performance Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, and 2020 MacArthur Fellowship award winner. Professor Moten is a poet and a leading scholar in the fields of Black studies and critical theory, with special concern for the entanglement of social movement and aesthetic experiment. His three lectures will draw from his book in progress, Hesitant Sociology: Blackness and Poetry, and will take place on three Wednesdays: October 28, November 11, and November 18, 2020.
Congrats to our alum Leon Jackson Davenport for his beautiful essay in the latest issue of Philadelphia Stories! https://philadelphiastories.org/article/witness/
