Honoring African American Women in the Community: Neighborhood Resilience Project hosted an elegant evening for a select group of African American women. The l...adies were honored for making an impact in their communities. University of Pittsburgh’s senior vice chancellor, Dr. Kathy Humphrey was our guest speaker for the evening. We were inspired by her motivational speech on how to have a firm foundation to over-come obstacles, with being an African American woman in leadership positions. Dr. Humphrey reminded us of the importance to wear our God given crowns daily as we pave the way. The ladies enjoyed being pampered and served by the men of the community with an evening of a delicious dinner, fellowship, prizes, and gift bags while practicing social distancing. See more
