Yet another reason to fix your snoring and sleep apnea! https://www.newsmax.com//sleepapnea-/2020/09/14/id/986827/
It’s good to be back in the office. Today I have a video testimonial from Jim, please have a look. We are changing lives.
Here at my office in Fishtown we have survived the virus, so far. We have survived the anticipated riots, so far. But thanks to the storm that blew through I am a proud owner of a new tree in front of my office.
We are currently working diligently to upgrade our office protocol in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have received numerous texts, emails, and phone calls from patients in need and have, painfully, been unable to safely provide dental treatment. But... that all changes on MONDAY JUNE 1, when we reopen for business. We intend to contact every patient that has contacted us, plus all scheduled patients. ... Our team will be current with all required PPE and be following CDC/OSHA guidelines. Some necessary changes will be apparent, as all of us have changed our behaviors recently. Rest assured, It's for the safety of our patients and our team. Personally, I can't wait to get back to doing what I do best, but I can't do it without You!
I’m posting this as a testimonial to the power of sleep. The patient is a 20 something male who’s had total kidney failure and lost a transplanted kidney. His mom is an ICU nurse. She just sent me this text. I always like to say treating sleep is more emotionally rewarding than fixing teeth. We are saving lives.
Today is World Sleep Day. It has been my mission to help folks understand the importance of a good nights sleep. Along with a good diet and daily exercise, sleep is vital to our overall health. Some tips for getting good solid sleep. 1. Get no less than 7 hours, and no more than 10. 2. Establish a regular bedtime and wake time. 3. Limit daytime naps to 45 minutes. 4. No caffeine, or alcohol up to 4 hours before bedtime.... 5. No heavy spicy foods up to 4 hours before bedtime. 6 Keep your dark, quiet and cool. But if you follow these rules and still wake frequently, snore or feel crappy in the morning, talk to a Sleep professional before you resort to medications. Many times the problem is sleep apnea, and the answer is as easy as keeping your airway open, allowing you to breathe freely! SWEET DREAMS!
I will be doing a live interview this morning @9:50. Please support this worthy cause.
SleepWellPhiladelphia is a proud sponsor of the USO. Our men and women who serve our country are too often under appreciated, or worse yet ignored, or even worse yet villainized. These folks put their lives on the line to keep our country safe. They serve in the most hostile areas of the world, places the average person would dare not go. The USO is a charitable organization that provides comfort and relief to our troops far from home, wondering if anybody cares. ... The USO cares. This Friday March 6, WPHT 1210 is hosting a USO Radiothon starting at 6AM at Chickie and Pete’s South Philly. Please feel free to drop by or to call in a donation to this worthy cause. Also, I will be sponsoring the 9:00 hour and will do a live interview. Please tune in.
We are proud to be partnering with Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry in their senior student rotations through private dental offices. Today we were honored to have James Dang, our student for the day. It was a pleasure having you, and good luck in the future!
Every day we are helping people improve their quality of life by improving their sleep. Nick was struggling with poor sleep even though he is young and fit, we found out he had severe sleep apnea.
Very interesting article from University of Pennsylvania about tongue size and sleep apnea. Basically it says what we’ve been saying for years. If the tongue is too large for the space it tends to fall back during sleep and clogs the airway. A partial clog results in snoring, a full clog results in apnea. The tongue is the cork in the bottle. A CPAP uses a mask, hoses and a machine to force air into your mouth to push the tongue out of the way. An oral appliance moves your jaw forward to pull your tongue out of your throat. Which one would you prefer? https://www.cnn.com//tongue-fat-sleep-apnea-wel/index.html
