Congratulations to all of my Somerset location students upon completing Gup Testing this evening in front of the testing board of Grandmaster Slezak and I. I am so proud of all our first testing students this evening and Congrats goes out to Buck Yoder on being awarded this testing’s MVP for all his efforts during testing. It was a pleasure to watch all of you grow in martial arts these last few months both senior & junior students. Now we await results after review from Grandmaster Giacobbe our ITO president. At the end of testing Mrs. Slezak & I past out some remaining Christmas presents to our students who missed our Christmas party this past Saturday in Somerset, PA. Tang Soo - Master Mike Slezak!

Tonight our Somerset location got together for family fun & fellowship for our annual Karate Christmas Party. We had many families who could not make it this evening, but I enjoyed the support and time spent with all of those who joined my staff and I for the festivities this evening. Thank you to the Speelman Family, Brant Family, Younkin Family, & Marker Family for being in attendance tonight for the party. After 9 years of being in business in the Somerset, PA area it’...s always a blessing to have such a positive following and support from a superb clientele. Thank you to Heather Speelman & my lovely Wife Rhonda Slezak for planning our supplemental party on the fly being that our party venue canceled due to Covid-19 restrictions a few days before the event. And incredible thank you to all parents, grandparents, students, and siblings for supporting tonight’s Santa Kick Along event in Somerset, PA. It’s been quite an annual tradition to host Santa Claus at our martial arts school now for over a decade+ and it’s always special to retie his Honorary black belt given to him years ago by my father and I. Santa you were a wonderful guest as always and I thank you personally for always being the epitome of Christmas spirit.
