Who are these masked men??? They are the Frederick Hustlers 12u and these guys are going to make some noise. I've had the good fortune to spend my Wednesday evenings with this group and they are really coming along. They have a great work ethic ( kudos coach Raymond and coach Beaver) and it really shows. We are definitely gonna' see some hard line drives this summer.

MID MARYLAND UNITED is a quality travel program that just got a lot better with the appointment of Ed Lowry as the General Manager. Ed (along with 15u coach Tim Castellow) was the force behind the Thurmont Little league run at the Little league world series back in 2017. The managers and coaches share the philosophy of teaching fundamentals to develop players to be the best they can be. That's Ed on the right, Dave (assistant coach for the MMU 15u) & son D.J. Shipton in the middle and me enjoying a little rehash of the Maryland LL regional championship victory for Thermomt. After having worked with a number of Mid Maryland United teams over the past few years, I was very happy to accept the position of organizational hitting coach. The weather is cold and nobody's playing ball right now, so I thought I'd reach into the vault for some pictures from 2017. Here are 3 girls I had the privilege of coaching at Hershey who could really hit the long ball. That's Mikala Awde going way out deep to center (one of many), Gabby Malina hit that one so far over the left field wall I thought it would reach Chocolate World, and Carly Moreli launched this lunar rocket out at Hershey (Her's were allways a mile high and deep), and also hit the first ball ever out of the park at rival Lower Dauphin's new home field. Notice the way Miki and Gabby really turn their shoulders through the swing. Now That's a finish!
