Add this beaut buck to the list of first week harvests! Jarrod Rodgers put down this nice 8 point on Wednesday night after an unusual sequence of events . . . When Jarrod took the shot, the arrow ended up deflecting off of a limb and a head shot put him down for the count after the arrow went 3" underneath it's eye, and ended up crashing 50 yards away! It's not the way you draw it up, but that's archery for you . . . Where anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (Chuck Adams quote) and it's sometimes better to be lucky than good! . . All that being said, congratulations Jarrod on this beautiful buck and thank you for sharing your story/harvest!! We already got a couple first day big bucks to share with everyone!! The first one being this beautiful buck shot by Jake Harrison early on the first morning! In the first hour of the first day, Jake saw him coming in behind him with a smaller buck, and at 30 yards quartering away, he let it fly! He ran 120 yards and recovered this big buck for a great opening day harvest.. congratulations Jake and thanks for sharing!! #findtheoutdoorswithin

Small Town Outdoors was out at Bowhunters Weekend this last weekend and had a blast as always!! Everyone shot well that was with us, and it looks like we're just about dialed in for archery season right around the corner . . . Also, a day late but #neverforget the tragedy that was 9/11.. thank you to all of our first responders that were in action that day 18 years ago, sacrificing their lives.
