#7 God Is Omnipresent He Is Always Everywhere To be omnipresent is to be in all places, at all times. God is with us, the fullness of His presence is all around us. This ought to bring deep comfort to Christians. Especially the ones who struggle with loneliness and deep sorrow or going through a tough time. In a very real way, God is always near us, closer than our thoughts, writes A. W. Tozer. The knowledge that we are never alone calms the troubled sea of our lives... and speaks peace to our soul. I relied on God being with me when the rug was pulled out from under me in January 2012. My mom and my sister Donna both were in the Village at Morrison’s Cove and both were dying. I would take the elevator up to the 3rd floor to see Donna who had a brain tumor. In the elevator I would say I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, You give strength to the weary and power to the weak. You will never leave or forsake me, You are by my side right now. Then I would literally reach out my right hand and say, You tell me not to be afraid because You have me by my right hand and will not let me fall. I would grasp His hand even though I didn’t feel it I knew He was there holding my hand because He promises this in His Word. The elevator door would open and my God and I walked down the hall together. I would do the same things going down to the 1st floor to see my mom. This was a very tough time in my life but God proved He is faithful and is with me every moment. My mom and sister passed away 30 hours apart. Without God I know I would have been a basket case but with GodI can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength. The psalmist proclaims God’s omnipresence in Psalm 139:7-10... Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. Have a great day knowing God loves you. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8 .....Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. Dont let Satan steal your day/life. Cast all your worries and cares on God, trusting He will take care of you. Thank Him for all He has done. #6 God Is Wise He Is Full of Perfect, Unchanging Wisdom Wisdom is more than just head knowledge and intelligence. A truly wise person is ... someone who understands all the facts and makes the best decisions. A wise person uses his heart, soul, and mind together with skill and competence. But even the wisest person on earth would never come close to being as wise as God. God is infinitely wise, consistently wise, perfectly wise. We can trust God because He knows everything that is in our future. He knows how to make our crooked path straight. He knows how to bring us through the fires of life (difficulties) and like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego coming out of the fiery furnace we won’t even smell like smoke. And we will come out stronger than we were before the problems began. The fact that God can never be wiser means He is always doing the wisest thing in our lives. No plan we could make for our lives could be better than the plan He has already crafted and is carrying out for us. We might not understand His ways today but...we can trust that because God is infinitely wise, He truly is working all things out in the best possible way. I love how the Message Bible reads in Romans. Paul is writing this: "Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It’s way over our heads. We’ll never figure it out. Is there anyone around who can explain God? Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do? Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice? Everything comes from him; Everything happens through him; Everything ends up in him. Always glory! Always praise! Yes. Yes. This is the time of year people set goals for their lives. One of my goals in life is to become even more consciously aware of God’s love and blessings throughout my day. I started doing this a few years ago and it really helped me see God more in my every day life. I can actually say this has changed my life for the better and my goal is to become even more conscience of Him. As crazy as 2020 was, He was always there! I will admit there are days I really have to look, but su...re enough He is there. Just like Jeremiah 29:13 says "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". I started recognizing and becoming more conscience of Him not only in my life but in the lives of my family and friends. When someone would share with me I would say "blessing for the day!" This helped them see God working in their lives too. This raised my faith, my trust in God and helped me not to worry and give into fear because my God is with me. If you don’t already do this I encourage you as you go throughout your day to make this one of your goals not only for 2021 but for the rest of your life. Start looking for God in your every day life and you will find out He has been there all along, He loves you and will never leave you. Think about this...the Almighty, Most High God, the Creator of the universe, the One who holds the sun, moon and stars in place...loves you and is always with you. This to me is mind blowing awesome! 1 John 4:16 Amplified Bible And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. What you hear, read and the people you listen to gets in your heart. You listen to too many negative and fearful people......fear will creep into your heart. This is why fear is running rampant these days. Fear is the number one weapon of Satan. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our heart and to do this we have to be in the Word, believe the Word and do the Word. What does God's Word say? According to the verses below in 1 John 4 they say we as believers come from God and God l...ives in us and He is more powerful than he that is in the world but....too many of us listen to the voices of the world. It's time as believers we turn off the voices of the world and listen to God and believe His Word. I'm not saying bury your head in the sand but make sure we are listening more to God's Word then we are to the news and doom and gloom people! Don't give into fear. We need to talk like Who we come from and like we believe what the Word says. People need encouraged so fuel up on the promises of God and get out there and shine for Jesus. People need to see Jesus and we may be the only Jesus they will ever see. Need to be encouraged and help guarding your heart? Look up Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 40:28-31, Psalm 121:1-3, Psalm 94:18-19, Psalm 40:1-3, Psalm 62:8, Joshua 1:9, Nahum 1:7, Roman's 15:13, Luke 10:18-19 to name a few. 1 John 4:4-6 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us.
