The Smithfield Fire Company will be doing Operation Santa this Sunday starting at 2 pm. It will be a little different this year in order to keep everyone parti...cipating as safe as possible. We will only be driving through the village (Juniata Ave, Mt Vernon Ave, Pennsylvania Ave and some of the side streets) to hand out bags. We are encouraging anyone who lives in the areas we won't be driving through this year to come and watch Santa go by somewhere in the village. Please pass the word. See more

Great job by all units working together.

A great big thank you to everyone who helped wash and wax all of the apparatus tonight and the last few weekends. After the fire in Huntingdon boro a few weeks ago the apparatus had black ash that just would not come off. After speaking with our insurance company we were advised to wash them in liquid tide a few times and then wax. Well we are happy to report they all look great now. Thanks again for everyone's help. #Southsidepride Chief 10
