Snack Town Brewfest

As many of you know, the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce uses the proceeds from our major events--the Hanover Dutch Festival and Snack Town Brewfest-- to fund ...our workforce and economic development initiatives. Last week we announced that we will be cancelling these events for 2020 due to COVID-19. This means that these iniatitves, like the Hanover Apprenticeship Program and Discover Hanover Magazine, will no longer receive the financial support they typically get from these events. Please help us keep these initiatives alive. While donations to the chamber aren't considered charitable or tax-deductible, they are still impactful and far-reaching. If you would like to donate, please send checks payable to the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce at 146 Carlisle St. in Hanover, PA. If possible, please indicate which initiative you'd like your donation to go to.

As of today, July 22, 2020, we have made the very difficult decision to CANCEL the previously postponed Snack Town Brewfest scheduled for September 19, 2020. We cannot emphasize how disappointed we are to share this news, so please keep your feedback positive. While many of you rely on this event for fun with your friends, we rely on it for revenue for our community initiatives. Cancelling this event as well as our Hanover Dutch Festival will be a major hit to our organizati...on's budget. We made this decision for the safety of the community, our vendors, our staff, and our volunteers. Navigating the current COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health guidelines has proved to be quite challenging, and we simply cannot plan for an event this large while adhering to current restrictions. Even if it was possible to have an alternative, "COVID-19 friendly" event, it wouldn't have been at all similar to the awesome event that we've all grown to love. Instead, we're going to focus our energy on making our 2021 event one to remember. We'll bring back our awesome entertainment, the Amish Outlaws, and we will have all the great things we promised for 2020--only better! This means expanded DD options, extra perks for VIP's, and more. Mark your calendars for June 26, 2021, y'all--it's going to be something special. Until then, please consider patronizing our local brewers and other businesses--they need your support now more than ever. It's been a while since we last caught up with all of you. Many of you have reached out to let us know that you can't wait to see us at our new date in September, and to that we say, ditto! We are truly looking forward to holding this awesome event in the fall. Sadly, we've also had to refund some of you who can't make our new date. We're bummed that 2020 hasn't worked out as planned, but we're going to do our best to make sure we still have a great (and safe) event for those... who can be there. We're still working out the logistics of how our event will operate in the COVID-19 world. As of today's date, we still plan to hold our Snack Town Brewfest 2020 on September 19, 2020 with general admission from 1-5 p.m. and a VIP hour from 12-1 p.m. If we do have to change our event date or cancel (a last-resort option as we heavily rely on this festival) we will be sure to let you all know ASAP. In the meantime, please stay tuned to our social media for updates, and as always, don't hesitate to reach out with questions. REFUNDS: All tickets purchased in June will be honored at our September event. No additional action is needed if you plan to attend our rescheduled date. Can’t attend? While we typically we don’t offer refunds for this event, we have modified our refund policy for this year and will gladly ask Eventbrite to reimburse you for your tickets.
