What a bunch of winners!! I spoke to some of their moms prior to the game. They were sharing a coffee moment at the store before heading out to watch their kids play. I reminded them that my kids played in that league too and loved it. They are older now but looking back - the old Windber League and (MVP League) East Hill’s League were some of the best days of my children’s lives. They learned SO much there. It is definitely more than just a game. It’s family time. It’s bui...lding friendships. It’s learning how to win & lose nicely. It’s about letting the ref’s make the calls and not yelling at them because the call isn’t desired. It’s about celebrating by going out to eat with the team and parents after the games. It’s about hanging your head and taking some criticism when things don’t go your way(and how to correct it before the next game). These are the days they will learn some valuable lessons!
