SOUDERTON BOROUGH POLICE ONLINE REPORTING In an effort to make your contact with the Souderton Borough Police Department safe and easy during COVID-19, our Records Management System (RMS) has been upgraded to accept Online Reports. This is a new method of reporting during these uncertain times. If you need to report a non-violent crime or incident including, but not limited to fraud, theft, damage to property, a local ordinance violation, police information or reports for i...nsurance purposes, please go to the following website https://reports.csitech.com and complete the form as instructed. Someone from the police department will be monitoring the RMS on a daily basis. Once the report is received and reviewed it will be processed in the same manner as in-person reports and assigned to an officer to investigate or follow up as necessary. Please be patient as this is a new process for everyone. Also, remember this site is for non-emergency issues. If you have a true emergency do not hesitate to DIAL 911. Souderton Borough Police Officers are still out patrolling your neighborhoods and answering calls for service. A side note, the protections under Act 104 of 2018 do not apply to citizens, ... who must contact local authorities if they see a dog or cat in a vehicle that appears to be in distress. One Proof of Publication BOROUGH OF SOUDERTON MONTGOMERY COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA ENTRY-LEVEL POLICE OFFICER RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT The Souderton Borough Police Department, in conjunction with the Civil Service Commission of the Borough of Souderton, will be accepting applications for the full time position of Entry-Level Police Officer. General Requirements for this position include: United States Citizen. In the case of a foreign born applicant, evidence satisfactory to the Commission shall be produced showing the person to be a naturalized citizen. Twenty-One (21) years of age or older High School Graduate or GED Equivalency diploma Current Municipal Police Officer’s Education and Training Commission Act 120 Certification Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator’s license Medically capable to perform duties of a police officer An Applicant shall NOT have any tattoo, piercing or gauging that are visible while wearing a collared short sleeve shirt without a tie. Applications can be obtained at the Souderton Borough Office, 31 W. Summit Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. A non-refundable administrative fee of $35.00, payable by check or money order (no cash) must be submitted with the application. Checks must be made payable to the Borough of Souderton. All applications must be received no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 for consideration. Applicants fulfilling all general requirements will be invited to take the written examination. Snow Emergency Effective Tuesday, 3/6/18 at 8:00 p.m. through Thursday, 3/8/17 8a.m. PURSUANT TO SOUDERTON BOROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 599, A SNOW EMERGENCY HAS BEEN DECLARED IN THE BOROUGH OF SOUDERTON.... ACCORDINGLY, DURING THE SNOW EMERGENCY NO PERSON SHALL DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE ON ANY DESIGNATED SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTE UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH EITHER SNOW TIRES OR CHAINS. ADDITIONALLY, NO PERSON SHALL PARK OR ALLOW TO REMAIN PARKED A VEHICLE ANYWHERE ON A DESIGNATED SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTE WITHIN TWO (2) HOURS FOLLOWING THE DECLARATION OF A SNOW EMERGENCY OR UPON THE ACCUMULATION OF TWO (2) OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW, WHICHEVER SHALL OCCUR FIRST. Effective 11:59pm Monday, March 13, 2017 through Noon Wednesday, March 15, 2017 a Snow Emergency has been issued for the Borough of Souderton in accordance to Souderton Borough Ordinance No. 599 as declared by Mayor John R. Reynolds. During the Snow Emergency no person shall drive a motor vehicle on any designated snow emergency route unless the vehicle is equipped with snow tires or chains. No person shall park or allow to remain parked a vehicle anywhere on a designated sn...ow emergency route within two (2) hours following the declaration of a snow emergency or upon the accumulation of two (2) or more inches of snow, whichever occurs first. Violations of this snow emergency are subject to a fine of $25.00 plus the costs of removing any vehicle from the snow emergency route by order of the Souderton Borough Police Department. In addition, for your safety it is recommended that travel on the borough streets be limited to essential emergency personnel only. Snow Emergency Routes are designated by Red and White Snow Emergency Route Signs. See more
