More pictures of the new guys #healingwithhorsepower
Officially welcoming 3 new beautiful equine to the STAT Ligonier Therapeutic Center. In order of appearance: Tonto (Arabian Paint) ... Ben (Black Beauty - Appendix) Wyatt (Buckskin) The video is showing my initiation of the 3 new guys to the covered arena. Some of our human treatment team members are walking about - testing wits and sensitivities. They each have absolutely beautiful personalities. #brothers. Thank you Tyanne Wallin Both Ben and Wyatt were rescued from kill pens about 2 years ago. We don’t have any histories but they are slowly telling us their stories. Tonto is extremely friendly. He always greets me. He walks up so close to me I feel like he’s asking for a piggy back ride. Watch your piggies when your near him... lol #healingwithhorsepower #horsepoweredhealing #EQuineAffect #rescuedfromhell
We will slowly mend the deep wounds of a special horse we gave a new identity upon arrival Oct 23, 2020...healing will happen because of our care and from loving interactions with our clients. Our clients, big and small, young and old.... when they meet Remington, they feel his pain. His past neglects and hurts. Sometimes a hug or a sweet gentle grooming can do wonders for the soul (of both horse and human). ... **ORIGINAL POST: meet Remington a new addition to the STAT Herd. He is in very rough shape and in need of a LOT of TLC... but that’s exactly what we can give him here. Just finished a one hour scrub and rinse. Super sweet guy who’s found his Forever Home #rescuedfromhell God put this horse where he needed to be! **UPDATE POST: Remington has gained 60 lbs of good weight, muscle tone is firming up. He’s getting good exercise, supplements seem to be tolerated and working! Tough as nails for his rotted front feet is helping those toes grow out a bit faster, keeping him on dry land too. Mushrooms have totally cleaned up his eyes and I believe they’ve helped with his oral health (the first 3-4 weeks Remington could only chew hay into balls and then they would drop out of his mouth. He loves to munch hay now and he is now able to swallow. The grain and supplement mix we give equine strategy with beet pulp shreds and he has LOVED his breakfast, lunch and dinner. He sees me coming and walks to his grain tub in the corner of his stall and waits there like a gentleman for me to pour his cereal in. Remington definitely knows the word cereal now. Lol! Still trying to figure out why on God’s green earth he does not want to munch a carrot or apples.... (THE ORIGINAL POST ABOUT THIS HORSE WAS REDACTED AND NOW REPOSTED WITHOUT IDENTIFYING THE INDIVIDUALS/BUSINESS(ES) INVOLVED IN THE HARM AND MISTREATMENT OF THIS SWEET ANIMAL./ Howecer, if you continue to harass us we will give the Authorities ALL the information I have to have you investigated and do whatever needs to be done. More importantly STAT properties are under 24 hour surveillance by remote camera, private policing and many great neighbors. Now, go!!!, be on your way and mind your own business.) Below: Remington 6 weeks after arrival at STAT.
Rep. Mike Reese (R-Westmoreland/Somerset), who served the Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus as caucus secretary in the 2019-20 session and was elected to serve as Republican caucus chairman in the 2020-21 session died peacefully with his family by his side Saturday afternoon at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg following an apparent brain aneurysm. Reese was first elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2008, taking office in the 2009-10 Leg...islative Session. At the time of his death, he was 42 years old. Reese is survived by his wife Angela and three children. Mike was a really great and thoughtful person, always listened and always tried to help, believed in STATs mission and vision. This is shocking news - we pray for his family and his friends - for peace and faith. RIP Mike. You’ll be missed by many.
Other than our awesome herd of equine...All of our clients notice something unique at the Therapeutic Center - especially in the summertime. "Why are there NO FLIES here?!"
