South Mountain Audubon Society

Meeting Monday night, Sept. 21 at 6:45 at the Amphitheater on the Gettysburg National Military Park along West Confederate Ave. Linette Mansberger, President of the South Mountain Audubon Society, will present "BATS - Our Friends of the Night". Please bring a face mask in case social distancing is not possible. Also a flashlight will be needed to find your car. No refreshments will be available but feel free to bring a drink and a snack. Portable toilets and trash cans will be available. There are benches but they do not have backs so feel free to bring a chair.

Birdwalk, July 25 at Willoughby Run (old Gettysburg Country Club), 7:30am. Parking on Country Club Lane.

Bird Walk on Feb. 15. SMAS is partnering with the Gettysburg National Military Park for a walk at the site of the former Gettysburg Country Club. Meet at 9am at 730 Chambersburg Road, just west of Gettysburg. Please park by the tennis courts/pool complex off of Country Club Lane. Do not park at the day spa area. Walk will be about 1-1/2 miles and can be wet or uneven. Beginning birders are welcome!!

The field trip scheduled for January 18th at the National Cemetery is cancelled due to questionable weather! It may be rescheduled in the near future. Check back!

The Great Backyard Bird Count walk at the old Gettysburg Country Club grounds on Feb. 15. Starting time yet to be determined.
