My 11 year old daughter was severely injured in a car crash 2 weeks ago. Her dominant right hand was degloved and her lips and face lacerated by glass. Only 3 upper back molars remain on her upper row of teeth as a result of the crash. She needs skin grafts on her hand, and extensive future occupational therapy to regain use of her hand. Wednesday evening, our lives changed forever. While we were returning home from a trip to the store, an impatient driver swerved off the road and slammed right... into my passenger rear door. Behind which, my sleeping daughter, Alice, was severely injured. Her dominant right hand was horribly mangled and needed to be reconstructed, as well as her mouth shredded by the glass. The impact also knocked out all but 3 upper molars, and one of her bottom molars. Her recovery will be long and trying.
