Santa just decided to make a visit to Spring Brook!

11/24/2020 at 2100hrs Company 53 was dispatched with First alarm companies to a home with smoke coming from the garage. Chief went en-route moments after dispatch arriving within a minute and a half, being faced with a heavy smoke condition striking our second alarm companies. Chief Shaffer then was getting reports of one trapped in the rear of the garage by several bystanders. Chief did primary search of garage sweeping the floor making a successful grab placing the patient... in the hands of EMS all in the first 3 minutes of his arrival. On the arrival of the engine crews were faced with heavy fire visible from the garage area knocking it back before making entry into the home to extinguish the fire. A huge shout out to all our brothers and sisters in the North Pocono Area for the OUTSTANDING teamwork. It’s times like these that we all realize we need one another to lean on.
