Due to guidelines related to Covid-19, York County School of Technology will not be presenting in-person to 8th grade classes this year. York Tech has put together a video presentation for students to view. The video will be shown in all 8th grade ELA classes (traditional and distance) on either Thursday, October 15 or Friday October 16. There has been a change in the date for picture re-takes at the middle school. Picture Re-Take Day will now be November 5th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM for traditional, distance learning and SGFLEX students. This is for any student that was absent on the original date, any distance learner that missed the original date, OR any student that had pictures that did not meet parents expectations. If you are going to have your pictures taken over, please return the entire package ...and put a note on the package stating the issue with the photos. Distance Learning & SGFLEX Students may arrive anytime between 11:00AM - 1:00 PM on November 5th. Students should arrive at the front door of the middle school and will be required to wear face coverings while in the building. Please note - the only people that are permitted to enter the building are those students that are having their photo taken. The typical Middle School Back-to-School Night has been replaced this year with our virtual version. Please go to: https://bit.ly/3lB7ZT8 on the MS webpage to access videos that have been created by our teams and teachers. Before viewing, please refer to your students’ schedule (available via Sapphire) to determine the specific teams and teachers for your student(s). You should then be able to virtually follow their classes by clicking on the links provided for the specific courses and teachers. After you watch the videos, please reach out to the individual teachers with any questions.

7th Grade Families, Typically, the Middle School would host an orientation prior to the start of school where students would receive their schedules and take self-guided tours. Given the circumstances, we are unable to provide this opportunity. We understand the worry some of you may feel; and therefore, wanted to provide a virtual tour of our Middle School building! We also plan to have guided tours on the first day of school during homeroom to better ease the transition.
