In order for this year’s Tournament to be successful, it’s imperative that the Handicapped and Kids Sections be worked on to improve the water depth. Due to the... Dam removal in 2012 this stretch of Stony Creek is currently in need of attention for use in our Tournament. We are organizing 4-nights in which we will do our best to build temporary Dams in these sections prior to our Tournament weekend. We will obviously need as many volunteers as we can get to achieve our goal and insure that these areas will be available and in top shape come April 27th! Please consider helping out one, two, three or all four evenings we have planned for work nights thanks for your support the Tournament depends on a good volunteer base! Below is listed dates and times meet at the Handicapped Section. Work Nights Handicapped & Kids Sections Stream Improvement Thursday April 4rth - 6PM Thursday April 11th - 6PM Thursday April 18th - 6PM Thursday April 25th - 6PM This night will also be utilized to prep other areas for the Tournament so bring whatever would be helpful (Weed Wacker, Chain Saw, Rake, Shovel, Etc.) NOTE: Wear appropriate gear (Waders, Boots, Gloves) and if available bring anything which would be helpful (Wheel Barrel, Shovel, Etc.).

Mentored Youth Trout Day: March 23 Young anglers and their adult mentors can get an early start to trout season by fishing one of 12 waters on Saturday, March 23, the weekend before the regional opening day. The waters identified by the Commission are part of the Mentored Youth Trout Day program, a new pilot project being launched within the 18-county southeast area that makes up the regional opening day. Under the program, kids under the age of 16 must register with the PFBC... before joining a mentor angler, who must have a current fishing license and trout permit.
