Next week we are planting a tree in memory of Jackie Hayes, a treasured employee who died earlier this year. We are open to dedicating more trees in memory of loved ones, now that our front yard is cleared and ready. If you are interested in purchasing a tree in someone's honor, give me a call and we can discuss options. A shout-out to GCB landscaping for all the work they have done on site this week. Sr Cindy
We had a wonderful St. Joseph Table event on September 12, and thank all who so graciously came to the modified event and celebrated with us.
Our controlled porch visits (with masks, distancing, by appointment for contact tracing) seems to be working, so we will continue with that until Blair County's covid numbers go way down. Be safe, be smart this holiday weekend!
Many thanks to Debbie Fernicola and Sr Thea Krause who educated our staff on covid related issues recently. Staff and residents have temps taken daily, we do our best at contact tracing from porch visits, and are taking other precautions very seriously. Thanks to all who are helping us through this strange time We are setting up baseline testing for staff and residents as required by the Dept of Health. More information on that as it becomes available.
We lost a magnificent old friend in today's windstorm. These magnolia trees are generations old and well pass their life span, but that does not make their loss any easier. However, if this is as bad as it gets, we are SO lucky. Happy Easter, everyone.
New shirts for the staff with a message we all need to take to heart in these interesting times
St. Leonard's Home is now closed to ALL visitors indefinitely. We acknowledge the hardship on families but our priority is keeping the residents and staff healthy. Thank you for understanding.
Thanks to the many volunteers who helped decorate our beautiful Home for Christmas this year.
A trip to the Amish farm and an afternoon of remembering the "good old days."
Artist Michael Allison carving a pumpkin at St. Leonard's Home to enhance our Halloween decorations. Thanks, Mike!
Today the residents were treated to make-up and tips from local Mary Kay representative Kathy Moran. We will have some beauties at tonight's Mother-Daughter event!
Thanks to all who made the evening so enjoyable and successful.
To all the friend of St. Leonard's Home, during this day of remembering loved ones, be assured of our prayers and continuing friendship.
