From Pastor Anderson: Dear members and friends of St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at Sand Hill (Hummelstown). Due to the risks of coronavirus, and the likel...ihood that many people want to worship but not want to attend in-person services, we will be meeting for worship on the zoom video conference site. You can join us by computer or smartphone. You can turn your camera on if you have one, or you can join without turning your video on. We ask that you leave your microphone on mute so that everyone can hear the service without distraction.I invite you to join us for worship on Christmas Eve. We will be meeting on zoom at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Each service will be similar and should last around 30 minutes. The free account only allows 40 minute meetings, so it may get cut short if we are not done, but we will have new passcodes for longer services on a paid account in January.Topic: Christmas Eve 4PM To Join Zoom Meeting, click on link below from your computer or smartphone. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89362830101 you may sign into the zoom site (free) and enter the meeting ID and passcode. Meeting ID: 897 4633 3256 Passcode: 94RHgT There are many other Christmas Eve worship services and concerts online and on tv. Here are some links to some Lutheran options Trinity Lutheran Church Camp Hill has a number of services throughout the day and evening on December 24 https://www.trinitycamphill.org/holidayseason/ Our sister congregation, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hershey, will provide a service on their web site https://htluth.org/ at noon. If you prefer to stay safe at home on Sunday December 27 (a wise decision in these days of covid surge), you can watch a version of lessons and carols performed by Concordia College, (a Lutheran school) by going to this web site: https://churchanew.org/christ-christmas-covid. If the main goal of your Christmas tradition is to repeat and re-affirm your favorite memories of Christmasses past, you are very likely to be disappointed. If you are ready to explore new meanings and new experiences of Christ's birth, this is a great year to browse the web and try some new traditions. May God bless you with a deeply meaningful and spirit-filled Christmas! --Your Brother Because of THE Son,Pastor Eric Anderson Please note: we will still have in person worship on Sunday, December 27th. Those who choose to worship in person are invited to attend the 9 AM worship service. That service will be "zoomed" as well for those who wish to worship in your homes. A separate email for just that service will be provided here later this morning. THANK YOU for your patience & understanding as we move through a transition of handling the pandemic & continuing to meet everyone's needs. If you experience or have any problems or issues with technology to access or connect online, please let us know. If you choose to worship using a device, there is a FREE Zoom app for Apple & Google devices called "Zoom Meetings" [The app icon is blue with a video camera] Both are free of charge to use.
