Pope Francis has proclaimed this the Year of Saint Joseph. Those who look to help their neighbor, without fanfare follow the lead of Saint Joseph by offering hope and a constant, although possibly quiet, presence. How do you plan to honor Saint Joseph this year?

St. Eleanor Parish - Collegeville & the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia are sponsoring A collection of clothing and small household items Below you will find information from Green Drop on what items they are willing to accept. This year we ask that you help in 2 additional ways: 1. If you have MEN’S CLOTHING, please mark the boxes and bags. We divert some of the donations to a men’s shelter. This will help us during the sorting process. 2. We have recently partne...red with IN IAN’S BOOTS, a local charity that processes used and new footwear. Please keep footwear in separate bags and boxes. For more information on In Ian’s Boots, please visit: http://www.iniansboots.org/ Today, more than ever, you can help your neighbors in need by donating clothes and other gently used household items to the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Your clothing donations make a big difference to individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. Clothing donations can provide an individual with the clothes and the confidence he or she needs to succeed in his next job interview. Donating clothing can enable a child to prosper at school among his or her peers. Clothes donations can keep a family warm at night when the temperatures drop. By making a tax-deductible clothing donation to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, you are helping to make a difference in your community. Members of the Youth Ministry Program will be present to help move the donations from your vehicle to the truck on Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 AM 5:00 PM Sunday, November 8th from 8:00 AM 1:00 PM Items can be brought to the Church on November 7th and 8th. A collection trailer will be in the back parking lot of the church, which is located at 647 Locust Street in Collegeville, PA. All donations can be brought directly to the back parking lot. Dan Misleh, executive director of Catholic Climate Covenant, does not believe in climate change. I believe in God, something that I have not seen or directly w...itnessedthat’s a belief, Mr. Misleh told Sebastian Gomes, host of the Voting Catholic podcast. But climate change is scientific fact. I don’t ‘believe’ in it. I know it. It’s a fact. Listen to Voting Catholic here:

Pray for us, Blessed Frederic Ozanam! That we may share your passion for mercy, charity, and justice; That we may bring the word of God fearlessly to the public... square, Promoting a civilization of love, So that charity may accomplish what justice alone cannot. Pray for us Blessed Frederic Ozanam! That we may dedicate ourselves to serving God in all parts of our lives, Burning slowly, like perfume on the altar. Pray also that we may follow your example of humility, Going in simplicity where merciful Providence leads us. Father in Heaven, we pray to You For Your faithful servant, Frederic Ozanam, Founder of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. If it be Your will, may the Church proclaim his holiness as a Saint! Amen.
