Very sad to share that the Rev. John Hoover passed away. He served St. Andrew’s from 1968-1987. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and ours. He led the robust St. Andrew’s parish through the rebuild of our church after a devastating fire in the 80’s. He was an active member in the Somerton community and raised his family here

Dear St. Andrew's Family, All are invited to our in-person and virtual Christmas Eve service at 4:00 pm. The bulletin is attached. Meeting ID: 848 0595 1275; Passcode: 053712 Due to the increased concern over new variants to the coronavirus, all are encouraged to bring a mask, which you may want if there is a larger and more diverse group of worshippers than normally. Our current In-Person Worship Instructions are summarized below and are included in the bulletin. 1. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, STAY HOME! 2. Masks are optional for the vaccinated. For the unvaccinated, masks are required, with the exception of persons 2 years of age or younger, or those with a medical need. 3. Social distancing beyond your family pod is recommended for all persons. 4. Upon entering the narthex (foyer), the Usher will ask you to check off your name on a Contact Tracing List or to sign in. 5. Hand sanitizer will be available in several locations and is encouraged prior to receiving communion. 6. Rather than taking up the collection, you may place your offering in the basket on the left in the sanctuary. 7. For communion, the priest will be masked and will sanitize her hands for the consecration and anytime her hand touches another person. The host will be offered and placed in the hands of each communicant. Receiving directly in the mouth is still not permitted, nor will the common cup be offered.

We are taking every precaution with the information at hand and working to keep our congregation safe and healthy. At this time we are canceling Sunday services until we hear an update moving toward normalcy again. Prayers to all for healthy living and keep in mind the common sense precautions like frequent hand washing to keep you safe.

Due to ongoing concerns with groups gathering and the communications we have about the COVID -19 virus we are regrettably postponing our spaghetti dinner for March 14th. We will repost the new date after we are assured by the proper agencies that it is safe to gather large groups . Sorry for any inconvenience.

Our bible study will continue this year . St. Andrews snd Redemption Episcopal churches will work together this Lenten season. Rev. Lori Exley will hold a Thursday Lenten Eucharist with light lunch and bible study at noon at Redemption
