PSA- Western PA Fluid Milk Plants, are not the reason,that farmers are being ask to dump their milk!! My plant in particular, is bottling product well above our... normal volumes. We have been bottling nights and weekends to meet the demand. If you cant find milk in the stores, call Marburgers and put an order in for pick- up. (1-800-331-1295) As for the milk being dumped. It is mostly the milk that was being sent to other plants that produce cheeses, yogurts, ice cream mixes, etc. They are heavy on their stock, because the restaurants, food services, ice cream stands and so on, are not buying as much as they normally would. PLEASE understand, no none at our facility wants this raw milk to be dumped. We can and will bottle as much as we can move through the system of distribution, that is available to us. PS- As far as the the shortages of cheeses in the stores, we do not process cheeses in our plant, so someone in that sector would have to speak to that.
