LAST MINUTE NEW YEARS EVE DINNER!!! Thank you to everyone who made our bake-at-home Beef Wellington Christmas dinner such a success. We had a lot of people who missed out owing to overwhelming demand, so for New Year’s Eve, we are reprising it - with one small change: instead of the usual mushroom and meat filling, we are going surf ‘n’ turf, with a decadent scallop and lump crab farce on top of the filet! Available as a single serving this time for those of you stuck alone, as well as the usual 2 or 4. Online store is now live for preorders. No Sunday roast this week, but we’ve got plenty of stuff! These tarts are so nice we put them on the menu twice! And curry beef/pineapple clangers, scotch eggs, even a few mince fruit pies! Walk-in and phone orders only today- we have to reorganize the online store so it’s down for the moment!

Happy Sunday! No online store today - is is shut down until Christmas because we are maxed out on holiday orders! I don’t normally try to be so cute, but I ordered these little lady apples by accident this week, so I cored ‘em out, stuffed’em with spiced duck farce, wrapped ‘em in our dough and stuck ‘em in t’oven! Available as a delicious lunchtime snack today for $5 a pop - walk-in only!

These potato-topped pies are all the rage ‘round our way. 3(three!!!) kinds today: Traditional lamb shepherds, a veggie version with maitake mushrooms, and new today this fisherperson’s pie with sea scallops, haddock, shallots, peas, thyme & cream topped with cheesy mash!

So someone (it was me ) ordered 3000 of the wrong size pie tins from England. When #badthingshappeninphiladelphia, we take lemons and make them into lemonade. Or shepherds pie. Which will now be on the regular menu daily until they’re gone. Come and be one of the lucky three thousand today!!!

I’ve been incredibly inspired lately by the work @beastandcleaver is doing over on the west coast. Their en croutes have been insane and today I worked on this hot water crust jawneypoo: braised beef short rib and Stilton, topped up with a jelly made from the Guinness & onion braising jus. Hopefully it will keep its integrity when I cut into it in the morning. Either way, it will be delicious. #keeppushing #makeitbettereveryday

Big news!Starting today, we are partnered with @relaydelivery so you can now get all our goodies delivered without the commissions and extra costs of the regular delivery apps! $5 flat rate delivery fee, which for now we are waiving on orders over $100. Other than that, no fees, surcharges or hidden costs. You can stock your freezer up with unbaked pies and get all your imported British groceries as well as our regular menu - all in one convenient delivery! For now, the delivery zone is a 1.5 mile radius from the shop - so up to around Spruce St, but we hope to be able to expand that soon. To order, follow the link in our bio!
