Sterling Hill would like to congratulate two of our young adult riders on the purchase of their new young horses, Paige Dolon and James Dean (3 yr old Holsteiner/TB) and Allecia Stiles and Bumper Shoot (2 yr old TB, full brother to Kid Hooligans). I am so excited to help start these two lovely young horses on their journey with their new partners

We will be hosting a dressage clinic with Lauren Annett next weekend Saturday January 16 and Sunday January 17, 9 to 5:30. All rider slots are full but socially distanced auditing is available $10 per day, free for LVDA youth members. Please let me know if you would like to come audit so we can plan food and refreshments accordingly. Please bring a chair.

Last week's horsemanship class with Tina Jones from Equine Thera-Sport on equine massage was a huge success! Thank you Tina for a fun and informative night! This week's topic is body clipping!! Woohoo! As usual open to youth and adults and you do not need to be a Sterling Hill student to attend. This Thursday Nov. 5 @ 6 pm. Hope to see you there!

Yesterday Sterling Hill hosted Vue de Lou Dressage LLC - Alexa Derr for an LVDA Youth Dressage clinic. We all had a blast and learned a ton! Thank you Alexa for a wonderful day!!

Today was one of those days that makes all this work and crazy life worth it I could not be more proud of these girls today!! Sterling Hill's youth dressage ...team competed at the Bucks County Horse Park's Adult Team competition today (they let the youth teams compete as well but in the same division as the adults) and out of 11 teams of mostly adults our team was 2nd!!! These girls work so hard and showed up to win today!! VERY PROUD trainer moment for me today too! Congrats to Paige Dolon, Makenna Frankenfield, Emelia Lewis ( Bethany Lewis ) and Sophie! Shout out to Allecia Stiles and her super rides on Rambo today on an LVDA adult team!! Thank you to LVDA youth dressage program for sponsoring our team and their continued support of youth dressage! This week's horsemanship class we will discuss stride lengths, setting gridwork, and walking a course. Thursday Oct 8th at 6 pm, $10 per participant. Open to all horse lovers, youth and adults, you do not need to be a Sterling Hill student to attend our horsemanship classes. **Next class, Oct 22, we will have our first guest speaker, Tina Jones from Equine Thera-Sport will be giving a hands-on demonstration on equine massage!! We are so excited to welcome Tina and learn how to help keep our horses' bodies in tip top shape! Tina has also offered a free mini massage session as a door prize to one lucky participant!

Huge congratulations to all Sterling Hill riders on their hard work and success this season at the Bucks County Horse Park! This year we had riders awarded in every discipline/show series that Bucks offers and I was awarded the "most eclectic trainer" award for bringing the most students to the most events offered at the park! THANK YOU to Maureen Ferris and all those at the horse park who work tirelessly all season to make every event fabulous!!

Our first horsemanship night was a great success! We had a blast thanks to our wonderfully patient demo horses Rosie and Cash who slept the whole time Next topic will be setting/walking a course and basic gridwork Thursday Oct 8 at 6 pm. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations on a fantastic show!!

Sterling Hill will be offering fun but informative unmounted horsemanship classes every other Thursday at 6pm starting Sept 24! Class will be about an hour with demonstrations and hands on practice portions. Classes are $10 and $5 for additional family members. First topic is polo wrapping. Bring your own polos if you have them, if not I have plenty to borrow! Future topics such as walking a course, basic first aid, braiding etc. Stay tuned each week for new topics and supplies that would be helpful to participate. We also have plans for guest demonstrators as well! Topic suggestions welcome!

These girls all brought their A game today and earned some impressive scores at the USDF show at Bucks! Madison and Rambo had their best score yet with a 72% and 69%, Emelia and Cash pulled out a 70% and 71% with two lovely put together tests. Paige and Ginger really came together today for a beautiful 1-3 test and earned a well deserved 69% to win a big class! Allecia and Oliver are also showing much progress and had two great tests with some solid scores. They are really st...arting to show some glimpses of a powerful future! Sophie actually showed Oliver twice this week and although she managed a cleaner test on Tuesday for a 69% she had a lovely test today minus a bobble or two for a 66%. Zoe was quite spicy and tense today (she wanted to know where the jumps were!!) but Makenna rode her so tactfully and managed to show off what a lovely pair they can be! I am so proud of the hard work these girls have put in to get to this point and excited for the next one! See more

Sophie and Emelia had the wonderful opportunity to ride in a clinic with Betsy Steiner today at Trisha Hessinger's beautiful Toland Farm. The girls and horses made me so proud today and we had a great time!! Looking forward to using what we learned at our next show on Sunday!
