The Salvation Army Worship Center, Altoona PA packed the truck full of gifts this morning at Stiffler McGraw! Employees joined together to provide 20 children with a Christmas to remember. We couldn't have been more honored to participate in the Treasures for Children program again this year. We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Our offices will be closed tomorrow, November 26th and Friday, November 27th and we will re-open Monday November 30th.

Another successful project has been completed! Work Order #28 for DCNR under an open-ended agreement, FDC-500-802STI, involved the repair of 3 separate bridges that were suffering from severe scour along and under their abutments. The scour was severe enough to close two of the structures until repairs were completed. The repairs were made to Adams Falls Road over Linn Run in Linn Run State Park, Camp#3 Road over Spruce Run and Linn Road over Rock Run in Laurel Hill State Par...k. A third location, The Linn Road Site, was added to the contract after an inspection identified the severe scour of the abutment. Stiffler McGraw prepared the GP-11 for this site and had DEP’s approval within 48 hours. Due to the quick turnaround by Gregori, Stiffler McGraw and DEP, DCNR was able to add the location without disrupting the construction schedule. Stiffler McGraw designed the repairs and prepared the GP-11 Permits, Gregori Construction completed the work and DCNR provided construction oversight. Dan Kauffman and Jamie Pritts of DCNR held regular progress meetings that kept the Park Managers informed and made sure the contractor stayed on schedule. Gregori Construction followed the plans, permitted activities and completed all three projects well ahead of schedule. We had excellent teamwork from all entities involved and it resulted in rehabbed bridges in record time.
