A word of congratulations for our 2020 "Repella Award" winners (pictured left to right) Anna Antall, Aric Gingo, and Karen Rushton. The Repella Award is presented to those who have gone above and beyond in their service to the Church. Additionally, we are glad to honor several milestone marriages in our parish this year. Michael and Sandy Lukatchik celebrated 30 years of marriage and Joyce and John Walsh celebrated 50 years. (Not pictured - Basil & Susan Thier celebrate 50 years.) Many years to them all!

It was with great joy that we welcomed our Arch-pastor, His Eminence, Archbishop MARK to St John’s. He led us in an activity filled Sunday, which we shall share more details on over the next few days.

Just about ready for this weekend... here is a sample of the finished product. Glory to God and thank you to all who have contributed thus far to make this "Heavenly Vision" a reality. God willing, this renovated temple will become the home of many souls in search of our Lord.

We’ve come a long way over this past month. Glory to God for how well everything is coming together with the renovations. We have some final bits of painting to be done and quite a bit to get cleaned up and organized, but hopefully by the end of this week, Phase 1 of the Heavenly Vision project will be completed. More photos to come as we finish up.

It has been a tumultuous few weeks as we complete our "Heavenly Vision" project. This week has been no exception; there were up to 5 flooring people, the painter and his crew, many parishioners, and an unexpected visitor who broke a window to gain entry, bringing the local police and ambulance crew (all were OK). When I showed up Tuesday morning to block up the broken window I saw this: Amidst all the chaos, Father Siluoan taking a moment to bless a few strangers and their ca...r. This is what it's all about - the temple is just a building - we are the church. Father has been at the scene constantly and under a lot of pressure to make decisions and answer questions, and deal with he unexpected - AND tend to his flock He has done all magnificently. It was a joy to pull up and see this happening. There is such an energy at our temple - come and see. See more
