He is from Thekkumvilayil Family, Mangadu, Adoor. The Parish offers our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his beloved wife, Mrs. Mariamma Geevarghese, Sons; Vinod, Vimal, Vijay and their families. The Viewing and Funeral services are being arranged to be held on Tuesday, October 13 st...arting at 9:30am at Lamb Funeral Home, Huntingdon Valley. His Grace Dr Geevarghese Mar Osthathios Metropolitan of blessed memory reminisced thus abo...ut his dear spiritual son (excerpts): It was in the year 1957, at Mavelikkara Gospel convention, when a young man named Joykutty (later Very Rev Philip Rambachan) came with the Holy Bible and requested to be made a part of the gospel team. Very Rev P.M. Thomas Rambachan (then a deacon), answered, There is poverty here. If you can endure starvation, then you can join. Lord Jesus Christ will starve with us was Joykutty’s reply and it pleased Thomas Rambachan very much. Joykutty was invited to be a part of the Brotherhood. The servants of God- P.M. Thomas Rambachan and Philip Rambachan were the hands of our feeble self. They both were the sculptors of Puthuppady Ashram. Many have said that Thomas Rambachan served as the ‘father’ and Philip Rambachan served as the ‘mother’ to the children of Balabhavan. Thus, they (the venerable fathers) have adorned the position of Martha and Mary (while serving the inmates). Philip Rambachan travels the entire country to visit the missionary centers- there is no doubt that Rambachan is a gift from God to us. He was one with the downtrodden. That he can witness the divine in them shows his spiritual stature. The modern world teaches to grow and become a famous personality. It is here that the shining example of Rambachan- a spiritual stalwart stands apart. Heaven reveres those who are respectful towards the humble and of low estate. The true reverence is the one which heaven accords. May the memory of Very Rev. K.I Philip Rambachan be eternal.
