The last worship service at St. Matthew's before we combine and form Light of Christ Lutheran Church is this Sunday, October 22 at 2:00pm - all are welcome, please come! The first worship service of Light of Christ Lutheran Church is Sunday, October 29 at 11:00am at 2020 Worthington Ave, Bethlehem, PA. Please also join us for this celebration of our new church and the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation! Prayers for everyone during this time of transition - lots of goodbye's and new beginnings.

Since facebook was being stubborn about linking it in the recent photo album, I wanted to share Vertical Ministries own facebook page. May God continue to bless them in their ministry!

On Sunday, July 30, St. Matt's and Vertical Ministries gathered together for a time of prayer, music, food, and fellowship. It has been wonderful experience to open both our doors and our hearts to this group over the past year! Thanks to their Pastor Noel Sanabria for the photos.

A good reminder for all those going on vacation this summer - travel can be a great opportunity to explore other churches and different worship experiences! (Not sure if they sort them by air-conditioning availability ) St. Matt's summer worship is celebrated on Sundays at 9:30am. An joint social with the Vertical Ministries congregation is scheduled after worship on Sunday, July 30.... Our shared Worship in the Park with Messiah and St. Stephen's will be held at Bethlehem Township Park on Sunday, August 27 at 10:30am with food and games to follow. All are welcome!

On Memorial Day, we remember and give thanks for all who have served in the armed services and sacrificed their lives for ideals of justice, peace, freedom and well-being for our country, other nations and people who suffer oppression and injustice in the world.

Prayers for the people of Manchester, England and anyone caught up in the recent tragedy there. May God be with all those who are injured, grieving, and suffering in any way. May God be with law enforcement and medical personnel, and may God be with the peacemakers of the world to help bring an end to such acts of violence in our world.

Prayers and blessings to the new President of the new United Lutheran Seminary (as Philly and Gettysburg combine), Rev. Dr. Theresa Latini! Among her many qualifications and accomplishments, she was one of my seminary professors. :)
