Patrick Johnson and the entire Athletes Without Limits family are important parts of our Stotesbury crew .... inspiring and leading the way for many years and making Stotesbury better through their partnership. We condemn Resolute Adaptive’s recent statements in response to Patrick’s continued efforts to educate , guide, and counsel; and , we believe that there should be zero tolerance of racism (nor anything less than putting all one’s energy to lifting up and encouraging one’s fellow athletes with all the same energy that one would put into all that they do on the water). Patrick ... You - and your athletes to whom you actively love so much - are loved; and, we stand with you and are blessed to have you as a friend and partner.

A sign of these unprecedented times. And, a reminder that we push, we pull. We take the bitter with the sweet. Rowing teaches us balance. And , so too, does this moment. Congratulations to Graeme Reeves, Concord HS, on completing an erg marathon in 3:11! Graeme, age 16, has trained on his own in his basement for the past 7 weeks.... Incredible discipline and what a work ethic! Now ranked 4th nationally in his age group on Concept II. Fittingly, he did it on Stotesbury Cup weekend. See more

I never earned a medal racing at Stores, but on my gap year I coached the doubles (all made semis and all but one made A finals) and the lightweight double earned a silver medal (and only one of 2 sculling stotes medals in the past 30 years?) This was one of the proudest moments of my life. 1927. Edward Stotesbury began what we know today as the largest gathering of rowing’s high school athletes and their committed fans in the world. Our current collective crisis has paused what a Great Depression, World War, and many floods could never do. But, we will row again.
