To our Clients and Friends I believe that Stowe Tag and Notary has been the victim of an awful, vindictive prank. We apologize for any unnecessary added concern that this may have caused you. Recently someone posted this sign on our door. It is true that Patrick and myself were sick. We were both tested for the COVID 19. Both tests were returned as NEGATIVE for the virus. As an added precaution, we both self quarantined for a period of 14 + days.... We are unsure who would have posted this notice, but can only assume that it would have been a close by competitor in the notary and tag business. Perhaps one that has a prior criminal record. The only evidence that we have been able to locate at this time is video footage of someone driving a burgundy Yukon posting something on our door. Once we have sufficient evidence, it will be turned over to the local police department. It saddens us that, with the horrible things going on in Pennsylvania and the world, someone would take the opportunity of a pandemic to try to hurt another small business. We can only hope that people will reconsider when thinking of doing business with someone so cruel. Again, we apologize for their actions. As soon as Governor Wolf deems it safe and the Statewide restrictions are lifted, Stowe Tag and Notary will be open to help serve the community. Until that time, please stay safe and healthy. Penndot finally caught on to the fact the public was getting rewarded for multi year registrations. Currently, if you register a vehicle for several years, the $5 County fee was only charged once. The rule was that every time you registered, the fee applied. Now it will apply on an annual basis instead. Effective today: Fee for Local Use Annual Fee. Section 1935(b) of the Vehicle Code was amended to make the Fee for Local Use an annual fee. The fee will be based on the number... of years a customer wants to register their vehicle. Customers who register their vehicle for multiple years will pay the annual $5 fee for every year of registration. This means a customer will pay a fee of $10 for a two-year and $25 for a five-year vehicle registration. The fee is collected by PennDOT at the time the vehicle is initially registered and when the registration is renewed. The annual fee will not be collected at the time a registration is transferred to another vehicle. See more
