Calling all Pool Members and Friends!!! On Sunday, October 18, we will be putting the cover over the pool for the colder seasons. If you are available, the board would be grateful for your help at 12:15 PM on that day. It usually takes around 30 minutes, and goes faster the more people we have present. Thank you again for a great, if very different, summer at the Strasburg Pool!

September 7, 2020 is our last day of the 2020 season. Due to the Covid restrictions we are not going to have our annual Potluck... HOWEVER you can still sign ...up for the 2021 season for a 10% discount off of this years rates -OR- put $50 down and hold the rate for next year+ get 5 guest passes for 2021. Attention Pool Members and Friends: We wish you a safe return to school as we enter the 2020-2021 academic year. Here are our updated hours for the remainder of the season. This weekend, we will be open from 12-8 PM on Saturday and 1-7 PM on Sunday. ... On Labor Day weekend, we will be open from 12-8 PM on Friday and Saturday, 1-8 PM on Sunday, and 12-7 PM on Labor Day Monday. Thank you for spending your summer with us.

Troop 56 2020 Mile Swim Crew. With summer camp cancelled, members of our troop decided we weren’t going to let that stop us from completing the mile swim this... year. 10 Scouts and 1 Asst Scoutmaster (not pictured since I was taking the photo) completed the mile. Dear Strasburg Pool Members and Friends, Thank you for your patience during this crazy time. As you are probably aware, Governor Wolf is moving Lancaster County to the yellow stage of reopening this coming Friday, June 5. The board of directors and managers have been hard at work to prepare to reopen the pool to our membership. For optimal water clarity, our tentative opening date will be Friday, June 12. We have been diving deep into state and CDC guidelines as well as cons...ulting with our insurance providers to develop procedures and policies to create the safest possible environment. Our goal is to simultaneously maintain these policies while still giving you a fun, relaxing summer experience. We will be posting these policies over the next week before we open so we can communicate clear expectations as to how we will proceed. A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Strasburg Pool Members and Friends, The Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has announced that, at this stage, businesses will begin phased reopening on May 8th. We are unclear at this time if pools such as ours, who are independent organizations rather than being managed by local government, will be on the list of those permitted to open. We are working diligently to ensure that we have the proper procedures in place to SAFELY open... for our members, guests, and staff. As the Board of Directors receives information from the borough and state governments, as pertains to our opening, we will communicate via email, Facebook, Instagram, and our website. Our top priority, as it is every year, is your safety. As soon as we know how we are moving forward, you will know also. Stay home, stay safe, and I hope to see you at the pool soon! Dear Strasburg Pool Members and Friends, The groundhog has spoken, and spring is coming early! I'm sure that many of you, like me, are ready to be outside, and to me, outside season is pool season. The Strasburg Pool will open on May 23, 2020, the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, and will remain open until September 7, 2020 (Labor Day). ... The Board of Directors met last night to begin planning for Summer 2020 at the Strasburg Pool. In case you didn't know, our board currently comprises nine volunteers who oversee facilities, safety, finances, personnel, chemicals, legal matters, and making our pool a positive, family environment. If you are a member of the pool and are interesting in volunteering your time and talents on the board, contact us via email. Speaking of membership, I am delighted to report that there will be no increase of membership rates for 2020! Updated membership information and applications are available on our website, http://www.strasburgpool.com. Party rates are also unchanged from 2019, so please consider hosting a party for your family, friends, and organizations with us this summer! The time will soon be coming for us to interview lifeguards and snack bar attendants for the summer. We offer a safe and positive work environment to our employees, and we are always looking for new guards. If you or someone you know is getting certified, please send them our way! If you don't already do so, like and follow our pages on Facebook and Instagram for all of our latest updates on upcoming events. Starting at the end of April, we are looking for members and volunteers to help get the pool grounds in pristine shape for opening day. A MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARY: Good morning, pool members and friends! As I was updating our Facebook page and information, I noticed that we can add our hours to the Facebook page for your convenience. I did enter our standard summer hours into the schedule, but I would remind everyone that we will not be open for these hours until Saturday, June 1st, what with so many of our lifeguards still being in school. As always, we will keep you updated about special events and weathe...r closings on this platform as well as on Instagram. Additionally, there has been a bit of confusion online about our location, and I wanted to mention that we are located in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Lancaster County. (Sorry, friends from Strasburg, Virginia!) If you haven't joined the pool yet, JOIN! There has never been a better time to be a member of this organization. Some of you have asked about our membership rates and where that money goes, and for those who are not aware, I will say that all membership and guest fees go to paying taxes and insurance for the pool, paying our staff, maintaining our chemicals and equipment, and providing renovations and updates to keep the pool and the property safe and well-functioning. Especially taking into account the high price of insuring two diving boards, our membership rates are extremely reasonable, especially in comparison to similar pools. Besides, our unique, family-friendly, community environment is priceless! Speaking of updates and renovations, the volunteer board and staff have been completing many updates and renovations on our property, which will include the upcoming installation of a grilling area for your cookout needs! Our friendly lifeguard and snack bar staff is back and more enthusiastic than ever when it comes to providing you all with a great summer experience!
