Who doesn’t love a senior pup? Dylan is 14 years young and still going strong so we’re scooping him up from the @pspca on Tuesday to make sure that his golden years are filled with love. After his elderly owner was moved to hospice care, Dylan was left in the house all alone. Luckily, he was saved before it was too late and made his way to the PSPCA. He has no major health issues, is potty trained, and even knows some tricks! He’s particular about his pets so he’d do best in a home without small children. Give this guy the ending he deserves! Been sitting here for over an hour, staring at the screen, trying to find the words... but coming up short. Even though the words aren't coming and we are filled with grief, all of you wonderful people who have donated, shared, and cheered Miracle on along the way deserve an update... Things took a turn for the worse as soon as the doctors opened Miracle up... ... She crossed the rainbow bridge today. Going to sign off for the day and take some time so that we can write up a proper post about the queen trash gremlin we lost today and just how special she was.

SOS PLEASE DONATE! Miracle went in to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital today for a consult on her gallbladder surgery but instead of leaving, she's staying the night because her gallbladder needs to come out NOW. If you don't know Miracle's story by now, pull up a chair... we will start from the beginning. Miracle came to us from ACCT Philly 33 days ago and, since then, this beautiful trash gremlin has managed to spend 1/3 of that time at the vet. She initially went to Mount La...urel for an Ophthalmology consult due to her eyes being, and we believe this is the correct medical terminology, a "hot mess." We scheduled her eye surgery and her spay at the same time and started to raise some funds to cover the approximately $2,000 it would cost. But Miracle had other plans... Shortly before her surgery, and right after another dog of ours was released from VSEC for a case of potentially infectious pneumonia, Miracle came down with her own case of pneumonia and was rushed to Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center. As it turns out, the pneumonia was only half the issue. This poor girls gallbladder was huge and it needed to come out but, due to the pneumonia, incubation for surgery was too risky. She needed to get better and then go in for the surgery. Cue 2nd Street Animal Hospital doing this girls x-ray recheck two weeks post her release from VSEC. We needed clear x-rays in order to proceed with surgery but sadly, we didn't get those. She needed two more weeks on antibiotics and an additional recheck. (For those keeping track that's 4 vets, including ACCT Philly's veterinary staff, and about $6,000 in bills so far.) Her second recheck was due to happen on this coming Friday and we scheduled her consult for her gallbladder hoping that we could get this surgery done as soon as she received the all clear. Miracle never was one to wait for permission (as indicated by her hanging on her foster dad's sofa), so it was no surprise when the vet called us tonight to tell us that she needed that gallbladder out ASAP. Her estimate is $4,600 - $6,900 and quite frankly...we don't really have that money. Not only that, but her eye surgery will add another $2,000 to that total. We are very close to taking our bank account down to nothing but there's no way we're going to let this girl down. She needs a Miracle and we need your help to make this happen. She is beyond worth it. Everyone who meets her is instantly smitten. She's been through hell and back and still loves unconditionally. Please help her.
