SVEMS crews getting ready for deployment. Thank you for being prepared to serve our communities in the midst of the storm.
A great night in Hellam Township. We had our medical miracle, Angie Reider Morris, come in tonight as well as County Commissioner, Ron Smith, to officially pre...sent our four AED’s to us. On September 2nd, Angie had a sudden medical emergency which resulted in Hellam Township Officers Steve Crater, Josh Phillips and Chief Doug Pollock initiating CPR and by use of a patrol AED administered two defibrillation shocks prior to Wrightsville Fire Dept and Susquehanna Valley EMS arriving on scene. Angie has had a complete recovery and is here to enjoy her grandchild’s life who is about six months old. Commissioner Smith was so moved by Angies story that he was able to obtain non Taxpayer funding to acquire 125 new AED’s to insure that all York County Police Departments have their patrol cruisers equipped. Thank you to Angie for being a badass survivor. Thank you to Officer Crater, Officer Phillips and Chief Pollock for being exceptional cops. Thank you to Wrightsville Fire Dept and Susquehanna EMS for your exceptionally fine work. Last but not least, thank you Ron Smith for being a friend to York County Emergency Services! It is impossible for me to speculate just how many lives will be saved by this but I am guessing it will be in the dozens if not hundreds. Angie and Ron, this is your legacy! See more

Susquehanna Valley EMS stopped by to see Santa D from 96.1 SOX & dropped off donated toys to support their annual Toys for Tots toy drive. Every year, 96.1 SOX hosts the "Toy Challenge on the Bridge" collecting unwrapped toys for well-deserving children. The goal is to collect 7,500 unwrapped toy donations. This year, more than ever, families need our help. Santa D will be on the Columbia-Wrightsville bridge through 6pm tomorrow! Please be sure to stop by and give to a great cause!!
To all of our friends and colleagues at Community LifeTeam, everyone at SVEMS offers their sincere condolences. All of you will be in our thoughts & prayers.

Her bright smile says it all! A total of nine First Responders, from the Hellam Township Police, Wrightsville Fire & Rescue Company 41, and Susquehanna Valley EMS, received commendations for the successful resuscitation of a female patient who suffered cardiac arrest. Thank you to the Hellam Township Board of Directors, the York County Commissioners, PA State Representative Gilespie, and the Emergency Health Federation for their recognition.
It was a beautiful day today! In between calls, the Susquehanna Valley EMS 77-2 and 77-4 crews met for lunch outside at Moe's Southwest Grill in East Hempfield. Yum!
