This a fantastic program designed to educate participants about our watershed and the environment, while building a community of volunteers eager to make a difference! Several of our EAC members and volunteers have completed this training and put what they've learned to use right here in Uwchlan Township, as volunteers planning and maintaining the Heart of Uwchlan garden beds and learning stations. The Heart of Uwchlan volunteer team met last week -safely distancing- to sow milkweed and other native plant seeds in plastic jugs to undergo winter cold stratification and prepare for spring seedlings to plant in the milkweed garden and the new garden being started at the Township building. They sowed lots of swamp milkweed, purple coneflower, butterfly weed, and other native plants using the instructions in the video posted on the Township YouTube account and website. Thank you to our volunteers!
