Please use caution around Exit 6 for I90. Crews are still working to clear the roadway and assess damage to the bridge after a semi carrying a shipping container struck the underpass. Thankfully, there were no injuries. Thank you to PSP, Eagle Towing, and PennDot for your assistance.

It’s never easy to lose someone, but it’s even harder when you lose a man like Harry. A man with courage, brains, and wit, he was the epitome of a selfless family man that always wanted to help those around him. Thank you for your service, Chief. Your sacrifice to your community will never be forgotten, and your impact will always be remembered. Please keep Harry’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sacrifice. A word that's been in the news quite a bit lately and has a different meaning to each of us. According to the dictionary, the definition of sacrifice is, "the act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important." Many of us like to talk about the "sacrifices" we make in our everyday lives; from staying home from a party to study to cutting our relaxation time short to help a family member. However, on September 11th, 2001, A...merica showed the world what the true meaning of sacrifice is. 343 FDNY firefighters, 37 PAPD officers, and 23 NYPD made the decision that helping those in need was more important than their own safety, and gave the ultimate sacrifice. Countless other firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and military personnel responded to the Twin Towers without hesitation. They decided that doing what they were called to do was more important than the dates they had planned with their wife that night, their son's baseball game, or their mother's birthday. Those 343 firefighters and 60 LEOs stepped out of their rigs, entered the towers, and made the decision that people in need, Old Glory and this great country were more important than their lives. Today we remember, honor, and thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Never forget. Never surrender. Always remember. Written by Julie Edwards See more
