How the Grinch Stole Our Generator It could be their head wasn’t screwed on just right, It could be, perhaps that their shoes were too tight... If you know the Grinch who stole the Upper Merion Police generator, Please call UMPD and report this violator If you are this grinch, we hope that you do the right thing, Return our generator for which we are searching We know it won’t be a cinch But be sure that we will find this Grinch The pictured Honda EU1000 generator was forcibly removed by cutting a security cable. It was stolen from the intersection of Route 202 and Brandywine Lane while powering the intersection’s traffic signals during a recent storm on December 24, 2020. Live-In Volunteer Firefighters Wanted. This year Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company has been working on some very exciting news. We are starting a live-in program at our station. We are looking for excited, eager, and hardworking firefighters who want to live in a family-friendly environment. While living in at the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company you will have your own private room with access to high-speed internet, a new kitchen, access to a washer and dryer, and a day roo...m that is shared with all firefighters. While being a live-in you will have the opportunity to not only grow as a person while working or going to college but also grow in your firefighting career while responding to calls. SVFC responds with 4 different apparatus 1 Engine (Engine 56-3), 1 Rescue (Rescue 56-3), 1 Marine and Boats (Marine 56 and Boats 56-1 & 56-2), and Traffic 56. We hope for you to join us. We are here to with some sad news. Unfortunately due to everything going on, our annual Breakfast with Santa will not be happening this year. We need to make sure everyone stays safe and is healthy for the holidays! Remember Santa will be coming to town on Dec. 19th to wave to everyone! Santa is always watching!

The Jolly Guy himself will be making his yearly appearance tomorrow, beginning at 2pm!! We cannot wait to see everyone smiling and waving!!

This is an urgent notification from Pennsylvania American Water. "Our crews are making emergency repairs due to leak at a hydrant along Dekalb Pike in Upper ...Merion Township beginning Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. If you reside in the affected area you may experience discolored or cloudy water, low water pressure, or no water. Repairs are expected to take approximately 8 hours to complete. When water service is restored, customers may experience discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water taps only, at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes until the water runs clear. You will not receive any further notification unless additional action is required or conditions change. If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service. In keeping with American Water’s focus on safety for both customers and employees, please do not approach our crews while they work. Tomorrow the area is projected to get significant snowfall! While Upper Merion Township Public Works & Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) are c...learing the streets, we need your help clearing hydrants and gas meters! Clearing hydrants prevents delays in firefighting efforts. Cleaning 3 feet around the hydrant provides enough room for hoses to be hooked to the hydrant. Clearing around your gas meter prevents the block of the relief valve which keeps gas from being forced into your home. These two simple tasks will protect your family and your neighbor!
