HACC will be hosting a Dual-Enrollment Parent Night virtually November 11th at 6 p.m.! The online event will include a student/parent panel with an opportunity for guests to ask questions. Seniors: www.fafsa.gov went live today. Completing the FAFSA will help you qualify for grant funds, student loans, work-study and potentially even merit-based scholarships from some universities. Each college has a deadline for this to completed. There is also a state deadline and a federal deadline. Start soon! Once completed, be sure to complete the PA State Grant!

This year YCAL will be offering Career Exploration Programs Virtually, at least for the Fall Semester. All sessions will begin at 10:00 AM. Students who cannot attend live can register to receive the link and view the program after it has occurred. The direct link to the registration page is https://ycal.us/students/mentoring-program/. To register, you would just need to click on the hosts icon to be taken to the registration page for each program. There are 10 Fall Progr...ams. -Information Technology, 2 parts -Agriculture -Nursing -Accounting -Engineering -Respiratory Care -CDL (Commercial Driving) -Law -Veterinary -Criminal Justice & Forensics These programs allow for up to 100 active participants. Once this limit is reached others should be able to register to view but will not be able to be an active viewer (meaning they cannot submit questions via the chat.) If we get to that point, YCAL will provide students with an email address so they can submit questions. The Penn State program links will take students to a standard YCAL Google Form that will collect the same information. This is different because Penn State is using their own Zoom account/platform instead of the YCAL one. Please contact Mrs. Dennis in the Career Center with any questions.

Career Center announcement: Students in grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to participate in the South Central Pennsylvania Manufacturer's Association/YCAL Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about the many career options in Manufacturing. Participants of the program will receive state certified pre-apprentice papers and Federal OSHA 10 certification! At this time, the sessions are live and in-person with masks and social distancing being practiced during the sessions. Students completing Year 1 as a junior are then eligible for the Year 2 program next year. 12th graders are of course welcomed too! See the attachment for additional information.
