They brought balloons to a school. One was given to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professors the...n mixed all the balloons. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon. At that point the professors told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon. The professors said to the students: These ballons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness....we'll find ours too."

I want to thank everyone on my campaign team, and all of the selfless volunteers who supported my run for office. I am proud of the campaign we ran. It reflecte...d our values of common decency and civility, and it presented a positive vision for the people of this community that I will work every day to attain. I am also grateful to the voters and residents of the 156th legislative district, and I will support you whether or not you supported my campaign. So many issues we face here are neither Democratic nor Republican. Our local businesses, our schools, our safety, and our children's and grandchildren's futures are all important to all of us. I also thank my opponent for participating in the democratic process. I know from experience it is not easy. Public service is the most rewarding and honorable work I can ever imagine doing. It is my honor to serve you. Thank you!
