We are requesting assistance in identifying the owner or whereabouts of this white vehicle (possibly a Kia Optima) that was involved in a hit and run on Monday 10/26 @ approximately 10:27pm in the 100 block of E. 7th Avenue. The Tarentum Borough Police Department is requesting your assistance in identifying the driver of this late model Silver Chevy Malibu or Impala, with aluminum 5 spoke wheels, sunroof and a spoiler on the rear trunk lid. We know that the pictures are not the best but we are hoping that someone will know who this male is or knows where the car may be. If you live in 300, 400 or 500 blocks of E. 7th. ave. and have cameras we are asking that you check your cameras for this vehicle traveling towards Henry Street in either direction street at aprox: 7:30 to 7:45 pm. The driver is a person of interest in a several tagging incidents. This male was seen driving away from the scene. If you have any information please call 412-473-3056. Just a friendly reminder about the new Pennsylvania fireworks law. REMEMBER !!! Just because consumer fireworks labeled 1.4 G 1 are now legal: shooting them within 150 feet of any structure is... PROHIBITED shooting them off at unreasonable hours will result in a FINE PLEASE use common sense and RESPECT your neighbors. With the PA Fireworks laws there is nowhere in Tarentum that is safe or legal to set off fireworks!! ***With the increase of complaints so far this year there will be a ZERO TOLERANCE when it comes to fireworks!!
