TFO Family Ministries at Too Far Out Farm 03.12.2020

We are horsing around at Too Far Out Farm LLC! The Foundations of Recovery Therapeutic Horsemanship Program is horse play that accomplishes great work through Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) and other fun farm activities! EAL is an experiential learning approach that fosters the development of healthy life skills for children, youth, young adults and seniors at TFO Farm and other outpost locations in the region. Just by being who they are, our horses are willing partners... who help us approach life in meaningful and healthy ways. Our highly trained staff facilitates a series of EAL sessions designed to help individuals and families who desire to overcome substance use disorder find freedom from hurts, hang-ups & habits. We integrate Christ-centered, proven recovery curriculum into our EAL lesson plans which promotes hope for healing and lasting recovery. In this season of unprecedented challenges, we believe horses were created for such a time as this. Often, we find that survival skills that worked in the past to help us live life on life's terms no longer work as we enter into new seasons and new relationships with unexpected and seemingly overwhelming challenges. If we listen closely to our equine friends they teach important, healthier skills for navigating uncharted territory. Join us in bringing The Foundations of Recovery Therapeutic Horsemanship Program to the tri-county region! Go here to learn more: https://www.foundationsprogram.org/

Too Far Out Farm LLC is developing a therapeutic horsemanship program that addresses Substance Use Disorder and the drug overdose epidemic, as well as its effects on families. As you probably know this crisis is currently harming our communities on many levels, so we are introducing a unique and effective service to combat the effects of Substance Use Disorder. We call it The Foundations of Recovery Program. This Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) initiative is Christ-centered and based on proven recovery principles. The pilot program will roll out in the Spring of 2021 and we welcome your input on this Jesus-led community effort.
