2020 has certainly proven to be a year full of unique challenges and obstacles. From cancelled adoption and fundraising events to lower donations, the pandemic ...has changed much of how we work. One thing that did not change though, is the need of urgent animals looking for a safe harbor. Thanks to your continued support through this difficult time, 300 dogs (and a few cats, chickens and exotic birds) have found their happily ever afters through Phoenix Animal Rescue. From Mamma Jolene and her 10 nursing pups, shot by a farmer in Tennessee and needing a leg amputation, to Bubblegum, a pug from local animal control shelter sick with pneumonia and needing lung surgery, to more Shepherds of all breeds that we could count - all have been lovingly cared for, provided medical attention and found homes thanks to your support. Whether you adopted, donated or shared our post, this holiday season, and every day, we are thankful for your ongoing help and generosity. ADOPTED**Abbie is a 13 week old coonhound who was rescued from the south. This happy, sweet, social, and outgoing girl loves everyone and everything. She enjoys... chewing on bones and playing with toys. She is energetic, but not high energy. She especially loves laying in the sun, but of course she's not a fan on the rain. She is crate trained and nearly housebroken. Since she is so young, she is doing great when on a schedule, and she's very smart. She knows to go to the bathroom outside. Pretty impressive for a little one as she has had a great head start . She will come fixed, chipped, and have age appropriate vaccines.
