03 July 863 The Battle of Gettysburg comes to an end. After the Confederate victory in Chancellorsville, General Lee wanted to deliver another defeat to the Union army, but this time on Northern Soil. Lee led his army to Pennsylvania looking for a possible battlefield. On July 1st one of the Confederate divisions marched into Gettysburg, but was met with three Union Brigades. The decisive, three day battle that would turn the tides of war was about to begin. The Confederacy attacked both the right and left of the Union army, but both attacks had failed. On the Third day, July 3rd, General George Pickett led a charge to attack the Union middle. Pickett's charge ultimately ended in failure. It was a Stalemate until July 4th when the Confederates withdrew, never to invade Northern territory again.

27 May 1941 The Royal Navy manages to sink the Bismarck, a German ship. During this time Great Britain watched most of the sea routes like a hawk, which made it impossible for any battleships to move around freely. However, the Bismarck managed to evade the watchful eyes of the British, and when England realized the havoc the Bismarck could wreak if it hit open waters, they sent almost the entire British home fleet. In the pursuit of the battleship, Great Britain lost one ship, a thousand men, and finally cornered and destroyed the Bismarck near Nazi occupied France.
