Just a reminder that at AAMR remains closed to all non-members at this time and will remain closed for the foreseeable future. I know many of you are excited to join us again, but our members health and wellness are our number one priority. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Alto Model Train Museum Open House The Alto Model Train Museum Association will be holding an open house Saturday and Sunday August 15th. & 16th. from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. They are located at 1117 Ninth Avenue Altoona across the street from Altoona Pipe and Steel. Open house will continue each month on the third full weekend. * Because of Covid 19 concern the children’s play area will not be available. There is no admission charge although donations are accepted. For more information call (814)942-2676 or 695-3246.

Awesome restoration project completed by member Austin Rodgers. This engine is a club classic and was part of the 1939 World's Fair! Austin just couldn't go another day without seeing her back in her original glory! Great job!

Due to the ongoing shutdown, there will be no monthly business meeting this Friday. Be sure to check on your fellow model railroaders. This is a tough time for everyone who can't run their trains.

Hi everyone, unfortunately I have some bad news to share. Gov. Wolf has issued an order to close all non-life sustaining businesses (I know, trains ARE life sustaining!) After the Board reviewed the order and the list of allowed businesses, we've agreed that we fall under the mandated closure. This means that effective IMMEDIATELY, the club is closed to everyone, including members. Sorry guys. I know this sucks but this is the best way to get thru this crisis. Hope to see you all soon. Stay healthy!

Out of an abundance of caution and the recent recommendation from the Governor's office, the AAMR Board of Directors has made the decision to close the facilities to the public until further notice. All members should check email and text for additional information. If you don't receive this information, please reach out to the club president or secretary. The business meeting scheduled 3/27/20 will be cancelled. We thank you all for your continued support and hope that you'll visit us again after the national crisis has cleared.

Tonight is the night! Open House from 7:00 until at least 11:00! If you can't join us tonight, we'll be there again tomorrow from 5:00 until at least 11! You won't regret it!
