The new year is almost here. 2020 is FINALLY coming to a close. What a year for all of us. As I sit in the salon with each of you and listen to how this year has treated you, I feel a mix of emotion. My heart hurts to see some of the struggles you have gone through. But most of all I’m so proud of how so many of you have overcome your obstacles and grew through the adversity you were confronted with. As each of you had to make some tough changes you confronted it head on and... made the most out of what life handed you. I hope you are as proud of yourself as I am of you. My son spent several years in cub scouts, at the end of every meeting they would all huddle and yell do your best 3 times at the top of their lungs. It was really loud and fun to watch. It helped to drive home a great message to the boys. Doing your best isn’t about meeting other people’s expectations of you. It’s about doing your personal best, putting your best foot forward and giving all you got. As we look forward to 2021, I encourage you to do a little positive manifesting. Think about what you hope to accomplish, think about how your individual gifts and strengths can help others, and set your goals with courage and the knowledge that you have the ability to succeed because you are a strong, amazing, wonderful person. Merry Christmas Eve friends. Let’s take a moment to get real here for a moment. It’s no secret this holiday season looks different from years past. Many of us are missing our families and forgoing traditions that we have held close to our hearts. It’s ok to feel some disappointment in the moment. Don’t stay stuck there and allow it to ruin your entire holiday season. There are always things to be thankful for and feel blessed in. I encourage you to focus on those things.... And most of all for those of you who celebrate in Christian faith, our current circumstances don’t change why we celebrate Christmas. This holiday will most definitely be one for the record books but make it one that you enjoy. Take the opportunity to slow your pace, be in the moment with the ones you are connecting with be it in person in small groups or via zoom. Be thankful for the little things and give love to everyone around you. Many are struggling right now and showing a little extra grace and love is what the world needs right now. Ending the year with a little self care. Ladies I don’t need to tell you how important it is to take care of yourself. This includes regular screenings. Routine physicals, and exams help ensure that things are in check and all systems are functioning as expected. Early detection of any possible health issues is essential in making sure they don’t become an unexpected emergency. For many women especially those with families our focus is typically on our families well being. I can’t stress to you enough how important it is to take good care of you. In fact that is the single best thing you can do for your family. If you are overdue or need to schedule upcoming appointments make sure you take the time to do it. Your life could depend on it.

One on one service is what you can expect at Annex Hair Studio. This is to keep you safe and give you the highest level of service. Giving you the best I have to offer while keeping you safe and healthy during your service is my top priority. I am really enjoying a slower pace in the salon giving each of you my individual attention and developing a deeper knowledge of who you are and how I can better meet your needs. I appreciate your patience during this shift in scheduling. I hope that even though it may take a bit longer to get you scheduled and a little extra flexibility for both of us the trade off in the level of service you receive is worth it.
