Desirae started working at The Butcher Shoppe in November 2019 in the bakery, moved to pastry in January, and became a supervisor in the Spring of 2020. The favorite part of her job is building relationships with her co-workers and customers, getting to know them on a first-name basis; keeping her department organized and running smoothly, and baking goodies or making lunch for her coworkers!! Desirae is a twin, which she thinks is best thing in the world, having a look-alike...!. She enjoys the outdoors and can often be found taking long walks, running up hills for a good cardio workout, or riding her bike for endless miles. She loves to cook and bake, cooking from scratch, without a recipe, creating meals that not only taste good but look appealing to the eye. Her favorite thing to do in the kitchen is to make large quantities of food to share with others. "It gives me joy to bring a smile to someone's face, giving them treats made with a lil' TLC.". She also loves to sing and play the piano, and can pretty much be found singing 24/7 !! Meet Megan! Megan has worked at The Butcher Shoppe for 5 years and at The Big Oak Cafe for almost a year. IN her words "I love all of the coworkers that I have worked with in all my years of being here. This job is only a portion of what I do. I love reading, mainly fiction or fantasy books, crocheting, and hanging out with friends and family." Last year, Megan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a Bachelors Degree in Biology with a Chemistry Minor. In the future, she plans to apply to Veterinary Graduate Schools to become a veterinarian.
