February 2008 (BEFORE) and The Good Ol Days House (AFTER) Grand Opening In May of 2009. Still blessed and going strong after all these years with a few cosmetic changes to the exterior coming this Spring 2021. Stay tuned.

This March it will be 13 years that we closed on my grandparents home. After much research and recognizing a need for overnight stays with all the hotels popping up in the BV and Bentleyville area; I had a vision, and put together a business plan. After 18 months of hard work that included many twists and turns , ups and downs, added expenses not in the original budgetvery common in old house renovations we just rolled up our sleeves up persevered and we got it done openi...ng America’s first and ONLY nostalgic vacation house rental. Many major improvements have been made to the house built in 1928 and this March a another home improvement will be made. New windows for the attic have been ordered that which will include a vintage looking shake shingle in the triangle. Can’t wait. Since the pandemic, we have been extremely busy as visitors and guests prefer the privacy and safety of staying in a home when traveling with friends or family. Looking forward to a great 2021 and in welcoming a little $$ economic development $$ to this area of SW PA as tourism dollars are spent locally in our restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, mom and pop shops and outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and kayaking in SW PA! Those of you who have been to the Good Ol’ Days House for overnight stays or the many charity events over the past 12 years will find these BEFORE photos of primarily the Rumpus Room and Entertainment area of the house VERY very interesting. LOL.
