H&H is pleased to be a cultural partner of @shortedition, an international publishing house that publishes fiction around the world via their Short Story Dispensers. Short Edition has made Philly their U.S. headquarters, recently launching "Philly Storied City," a program which delivers literature written by local residents through these dispensers--for free! We are thrilled to be the first bookstore to host a traveling machine and look forward to seeing where it will appear next in Philly! Our new dispenser will pop up along with us at the @cherrystreetpier TOMORROW Saturday, 10/17, from 2-5 p.m. and will be back at H&H Books at 2644 Coral St. for the remainder of its visit. Hi hi hi! We are popping up today from 2-8 in @bluestoopphl suite at @cherrystreetpier! It is a gorgeous day so come out for some open-air browsing and book specials -- and take advantage of the Pier's beautiful views and beers and light bites at The Garden. NOTE: masks are required to enter the Pier and must be worn unless you're eating or drinking.

We're co-hosting this author event with local publishing company Lanternfish Press in two weeks! It's virtual and free and explores a debut memoir about growing up amid hardship and hope and exploring how time and the support of a community can at last begin to heal even the deepest wounds. Author T. Marie Bertineau is of Anishinaabe-Ojibwe and French Canadian/Cornish descent. She is a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community on the L'Anse Reservation, migizi odoodeman. Her work has appeared online with Minnesota’s Carver County Arts Consortium; in Mino Miikana, a publication of the Native Justice Coalition and Waub Ajijaak Press; in the annual journal U.P. Reader; and is anthologized with the Chanhassen Writers Group of Minnesota.

I first met @austindirects and @emilyinprogress of @fishtownfilms when they popped into the store right after we opened in 2019 and they have since become great friends.
