Thank you to everyone who supported the Giving Tree this year. With your help we raised over $300 for the Mount Joy Food Bank which helped to distribute 90 Christmas boxes to local families this season.

For the second year, Janus partnered with 3D printing company IC3D to print toys to donate to the Toys for Tots program. IC3D provided plastic filament and toy designs for Janus students to print and donate. This year's designed ranged from unicorns to lizards to pterodactlys. Thanks to our students' help, we printed a total of 62 toys to donate! IC3D Printers

Lancaster artist Michael Tymon is being remembered with a posthumous showing of 34 pieces of his art at the Demuth Museum. Janus had the honor of working with Michael early in his education and will always fondly remember his passion and talent. Michael Tymon: A Life in Art runs through Nov 14.
These colorful dots in our hallways provide visual cues for students (and staff!) to maintain a safe distance from each other. Every little bit helps!
New modes of learning and daily uncertainty brings increased anxiety and stress for everyone. First thing on the agenda for many of our classes is checking in to see how everyone is doing and to support students through these new experiences.
When students can’t eat outdoors, clear divider panels in the cafeteria let them safely enjoy their lunches while still being able to see and interact with each other.
When RoseMary’s and Glady’s Science Classes get hands-on with experiments they go outside to help spread out and learn safely.
We are cheering on this very busy spider catching one of the spotted lanternflies covering the trees in our nature area. Every little bit helps!
When you’re outside for a mask break and your Chromebook runs out of battery, where do you go? You find a nearby lamppost with an outlet at the bottom, of course! #ProblemSolving
The Sentia Amphitheatre on the south side of our campus is the perfect place to have Spanish class with Mrs. K while also taking a break from wearing masks. This special space was named after the Roman goddess Sentia who oversaw the development of young minds.
Sept 25 is Math Storytelling Day which gives us the chance to recognize how math goes beyond basic memorization of rules and relates to our everyday lives. Storytelling is an integral part of teaching math at Janus. Promoting classroom discussion allows students to learn from each other and expand their understanding of math concepts while enjoying the learning process! #mathstorytellingday
